of hands. The founder of Reiki is Mikao Usui, a Japanese spiritual Master from the early 20th century. <\/p><h3 data-start=\"187\" data-end=\"204\"><strong>Opening space for energy \u2014 Together<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"206\" data-end=\"342\">Reiki is neither mysterious nor dangerous. The laying on of hands is one of the most basic human responses to offering comfort and relief. <\/p><p>During a session, my role as a Reiki practitioner is humble: I act as a channel for universal life energy. By grounding myself and being present in the moment, through a strong connection between the heart and the hara (abdomen), the universal energy I channel can flow gently. This creates flow \u2014 a moment often experienced as pure beauty.  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"744\"><strong>What Reiki can support<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"1015\">Reiki invites relaxation and a natural flow of energy. The activation of the parasympathetic nervous system is part of the body\u2019s natural response to rest and relaxation. A session is often experienced as soothing for physical, emotional, and mental tension. In this sense, Reiki is a holistic and complementary discipline.   <\/p><p data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1262\">However, Reiki is not a miracle solution. It primarily helps you rediscover your own strength and balance, and can offer more inner peace or space for new perspectives. What matters is how you integrate the experience of the session into your daily life afterwards.  <\/p><h3 data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1297\"><strong>Universal life energy<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1530\">Universal life energy can be considered the primal source of consciousness and unconditional love. We all carry these qualities within us, but they can become covered by layers of experience from painful life events. <\/p><p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1747\">Reiki is like a gentle breeze flowing through the energetic layers of the body. Little by little, what feels blocked is released, allowing your energy to flow freely again and your natural radiance to return. <\/p><h3 data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1780\"><strong>Training &amp; Reiki lineage<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1912\">I offer Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki sessions in the lineage of Mikao Usui \u2013 Chujiro Hayashi \u2013 Hawayo Takata \u2013 Phyllis Furumoto \u2013 Johannes Reindl.<\/p><p data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"2149\">I received my training and initiation from Frank and Kathy Coppieters, a wise and loving couple. Frank Coppieters became a Reiki Master under Paul Mitchell, who himself was initiated by Hawayo Takata and collaborated with Phyllis Furumoto.
